In the aftermath of the Third World War mankind has managed to survive and build a new society: the prosperous city of Sal Vitas. Technological advances in cloning and quantum engineering have created an immortal human race to eliminate all chances of extinction. The now unified government rewards the law-abiding citizens, painting the picture of a perfect society, but beneath this seemingly peaceful Utopia lays social unrest and political uprising. Armed factions fight for power within the new system and a rebellion has begun with the shadow government Noir.

   Greetings from the Community Corner!

April was a very busy month, as the community discussed a wide variety of ideas, presenting opinions on recent developer remarks regarding the combat system, reaction to the news about the availability of multiple avatars, and other items from the recent developer chat on Stratics. Healing and Entertainment continues to bring lively discussion to the table. The looting thread remains a favorite over in PvP, although many are concerned about the stated size-limit of groups and eager to talk about bounty hunting. Club Earthrise is now filled with, with original avatars, art, and wallpapers available for the community to download. Fortunately we're always looking for more! Alterego joined the growing list of active guilds checking out Earthrise by requesting forums in April, and over in the roleplaying forum, not only have many people gotten organized, but there are a few open roleplaying threads to participate in.

With over 15,000 posts in the forums, it really is easy for anyone to get overwhelmed. Fortunately we've got three very handy tools for your disposal - our DevTracker, the Question of the Week forum, and my personal favorite, the search button.

Forum games are still "in thing" over in Off-Topic, and are a fun way to pass the time as we push onward to beta. As a fair number of our community has arrived from other games to check us out, it is no surprise that several threads have cropped up devoted to help make them feel welcome. EVE, Anarchy Online, SWG, and Neocron come to mind. Don't see your game? Have something else on your mind? Feel free to jump in and start a thread.

That's all for this month, even though there's so much going on I barely have space to talk about it all. See you on the forums!
